  • Which cards can I use?

    Both Korean and international cards are supported. Korean cards (Visa/Mastercard/JCB/AMEX/Diners + Kakao Pay/Naver Pay/Payco) route via Toss; international cards (Visa/Mastercard/AMEX/Apple Pay/Google Pay) route via Paddle — automatically.

  • My card was declined. What should I do?

    Check the following: (1) Credit limit exceeded — try another card. (2) International payments blocked (Korean cards) — enable in your card app/call center. (3) Card expired — update to a valid card. (4) CVC mistyped — re-enter. If still failing, contact your card issuer and try again.

  • I was charged twice for the same payment.

    Specnote uses an Idempotency Key at checkout to block duplicate charges at the system level. If you see two or more charges with the same order ID, email support@specnote.io with the order ID. We will verify within 24 hours and automatically refund.

  • When is my subscription renewed?

    Monthly: 30 days after the previous charge. Yearly: 365 days. Same card is charged automatically. We email you at least 7 days before each renewal.

  • How do I cancel my subscription?

    My Page → Billing → click the 'Cancel subscription' button yourself, available 24/7. After canceling, you keep all features until the end of your current billing period; no further auto-renewals occur.

  • Do I get an immediate refund if I cancel?

    By default, subscription cancellation follows the 'keep using until end of period, no next renewal' policy. To get an immediate refund of an amount already paid, you must apply separately by emailing support@specnote.io per the Refund Policy.

  • How do I request a refund?

    There is no self-service refund menu. Email support@specnote.io with the reason and order ID, and the Company will review and process it. Full refunds are available within 7 days of payment when paid features were not used; otherwise we refund the remaining amount after deducting what you used. See the Refund Policy for full terms. (Subscription cancellation can be done directly from My Page, separately from a refund request.)

  • How long does a refund take?

    Once approved, refunds are initiated to the card issuer within 3-5 business days. The issuer typically takes another 5-14 days to reflect the refund. International cards (Paddle) may take up to 30 days.

  • What happens if auto-renewal fails?

    Subscription status changes to PAST_DUE immediately and we email you. Within a 7-day grace period, updating your card restores active status; otherwise the subscription is canceled automatically.

  • Is my card information stored safely?

    Specnote servers never store sensitive card details — card numbers, CVCs, expiry dates. Information is sent directly via Toss/Paddle PCI-DSS-certified payment widgets. Only the recurring-billing key is stored, additionally encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

  • Can I receive a tax invoice?

    If you hold a business registration, email support@specnote.io with your business number, order ID, and issuance info. We will issue separately. During beta, this is done manually.

  • How do I change my billing info?

    My Page → Billing → Change card. The new card applies from the next auto-renewal. The previous card is securely discarded.
