Terms of Service
Chapter 1 — General provisions
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms govern the use of the Specnote service (specnote.io, "the Service") operated by Dannect, Inc. ("the Company"), including the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and its members.

Article 2 — Definitions
- "Service" means the AI-powered scenario verification and test-automation service provided by the Company. The Service organizes the checks a user describes in natural language into test scenarios, verifies them by operating a real browser like a human, and provides a results report. In this process, the Service may automatically access and operate a third-party website designated by the user, using test-account credentials the user has provided and registered.
- "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and entered into a use contract with the Company.
- "Content" means all materials a member creates, uploads, or generates while using the Service (verification scenarios, steps, prompts, results reports, etc.).
- "Verification-target site" means a third-party website that a member registers for automated verification.
- "Test account" means the account credentials a member registers to automatically access a verification-target site.
- "Paid Service" means a service that a member uses by paying a certain fee.
- "Auto-renewal" means the billing method that periodically charges fees automatically to a payment method previously registered by the member.
Article 3 — Posting and amendment
- The Company posts these Terms on the initial Service screen.
- The Company may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate the Korean Standard Terms Regulation Act, E-Commerce Act, Personal Information Protection Act, and other relevant laws.
- When amending, the Company notifies via the Service screen and registered email at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days before for changes unfavorable to members), specifying the effective date and reason.
- Members who disagree with the amendment may request membership withdrawal. If no objection is expressed within 30 days of notification, consent is deemed given.
Chapter 2 — Use contract
Article 4 — Sign-up
- Applicants enter member information per the Company's prescribed form after agreeing to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- The Company may refuse sign-up or subsequently revoke membership in the following cases:
- Under 14 years of age
- Sign-up using another person's identity
- False information provided at sign-up
- Previously force-withdrawn from this Service
- Purposes contrary to public order or morals
Article 5 — Changes to member information
Members may modify their information at any time from My Page. The member bears any disadvantage caused by failure to notify the Company of changes.
Article 6 — Account security obligation
- Responsibility for managing accounts and passwords rests with the member.
- Members may not transfer, lend, or share their account with third parties.
- If the account is being misused, the member must notify the Company immediately.
Chapter 3 — Service use
Article 7 — Service provision
- The Company provides the following services:
- Organizing test scenarios from natural-language descriptions
- Running automated verification using a real browser and providing results reports
- Storage, management, and synchronization of verification scenarios and results
- Collaboration features (paid plans)
- Any other services developed by the Company or provided through partnership agreements
- The Service is provided 24/7 in principle. However, parts or all of the Service may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance, replacement, malfunction, or other operational needs.
Article 8 — Plans and payment
- The Company offers free and paid plans. Features, usage limits, and prices of each plan are posted on the Service's pricing page.
- Paid plans are offered as monthly or yearly subscriptions and are billed periodically via auto-renewal.
- Payment methods are limited to credit/debit card payments via Toss Payments (domestic Korean cards) and Paddle (international cards).
- The Company may change plans and prices, with notice to members 30 days before the effective date. Members who do not consent may cancel.
- Details on refunds and auto-renewal (recurring billing) are governed by the Refund Policy and the Auto-Renewal Policy.
Article 9 — Member obligations
Members must not engage in the following:
- Identity theft of others
- Infringement of the Company's or third parties' copyrights and intellectual property
- Replicating, distributing, or commercially using information obtained through the Service without the Company's prior consent
- Abnormal access to the Company's Service using automated means (crawlers, bots, etc.)
- Registering a third-party site without authorization as a verification target, or registering another person's account as a test account
- Using the Service to attack, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to a third-party site
- Damaging or destroying the system, or attempting to hack it
- Attempts to generate inappropriate output by injecting malicious prompts into AI models
- Creating content that harms public order and morals (obscenity, discrimination, violence, etc.)
- Any other acts that violate relevant laws
Article 10 — Member responsibility for third-party site access and test accounts
- The member warrants that any verification-target site and test account they register is owned by them, or that they have legitimate authority to access and verify that site.
- The member is responsible for complying with the rules set by the verification-target site, including its terms of service and automation/bot-access policies.
- The member must not enter real personal or sensitive information into a test account and must use a least-privileged, test-only account.
- The member bears primary responsibility for any results that occur to the verification-target site or third parties when the Service automatically accesses and operates the site under the member's instructions. The Company provides a technical verification tool that operates on the member's instructions and is not liable for the member's unauthorized use.
- The Company does not warrant, and is not liable for, interruption or failure of verification features caused by changes to the verification-target site's policies (two-factor authentication, CAPTCHA, etc.) or structure.
- The Company may refuse or suspend a task if it determines that the member's instructions are unlawful or clearly violate the verification-target site's policies.
Article 11 — Company obligations
- The Company complies with relevant laws and these Terms and makes its best effort to provide stable service.
- The Company maintains security systems to protect member personal information and publishes and complies with its Privacy Policy.
- The Company promptly addresses legitimate opinions and complaints arising from Service operation.
Chapter 4 — Content and intellectual property
Article 12 — Rights to member content
- Copyrights and all rights to content that a member creates or uploads through the Service belong to that member.
- The member grants the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use the content within the scope necessary for operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This license terminates upon member withdrawal or content deletion.
- The Company does not use member content as training data for AI models without the member's prior consent.
Article 13 — Rights to and limits of verification output
- The right to use verification scenarios and results reports generated by the member through the Service belongs to the member.
- Due to the nature of AI and automation, verification results may contain errors, and the Company does not warrant their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. The member uses verification results as reference material, and the member bears responsibility for the final judgment.
- Members must take care not to infringe third-party rights when using output. Disputes arising from infringement are the member's responsibility.
Article 14 — Company intellectual property
Intellectual property rights to the Service itself, logos, UI, source code, design, and all materials produced by the Company belong to the Company. Members may not replicate, distribute, or create derivative works without the Company's prior written consent.
Chapter 5 — Termination and liability
Article 15 — Member withdrawal and membership revocation
- Members may request withdrawal at any time via "My Page → Account → Withdraw."
- The Company may revoke membership without prior notice if the member violates these Terms or relevant laws.
- Upon revocation, paid usage fees previously charged are handled per the Refund Policy.
Article 16 — Service suspension and changes
- The Company may temporarily or permanently suspend the Service for system maintenance, upgrades, legal compliance, or other reasons.
- For permanent suspension, the Company notifies members 30 days in advance and prorates the remaining paid usage fees.
- The Company is not liable for Service suspension due to force majeure (natural disasters, war, communication network failures, etc.).
Article 17 — Disclaimer and liability cap
- The Company is not liable in the following cases:
- Force majeure (natural disasters, war, terrorism, etc.)
- Service-use issues caused by the member's fault
- Accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of content entered by the member
- Accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of verification results (AI and automation inherently include the possibility of error)
- Damages arising from unauthorized use of a verification-target site or test account registered by the member (Article 10)
- Interruption or failure of verification features due to changes in the verification-target site's policies or structure
- Damages caused by third-party (Toss Payments, Paddle, AWS, Google, etc.) service failures
- When the Company owes damages to a member, the Company's liability is limited to ordinary damages and does not exceed the total fees the member paid the Company in the immediately preceding 12 months. This provision does not apply in cases of the Company's intent or gross negligence.
Article 18 — Dispute resolution and jurisdiction
- Disputes between the Company and the member are resolved in good faith.
- If unresolved, members may apply for dispute mediation with the Korea Consumer Agency, the Electronic Transaction Mediation Committee, etc.
- The governing law for these Terms and Service use is the law of the Republic of Korea. The court of jurisdiction is the court designated by the Korean Civil Procedure Act; however, when the member is a consumer, the court of the member's address has jurisdiction.
Supplementary provisions
- These Terms take effect on June 24, 2026 (amended June 17, 2026).
- Amendment history: The service definition was corrected to an AI scenario verification and test-automation service, and a provision on member responsibility for third-party site access and test accounts (Article 10) was newly added.
